Now Accepting Applications for Ph.D. Students….
Over the summer, our team received a new NSF award to develop a privacy-aware collaborative design framework for accelerating the development of bioprinted models, enabling manufacturers to securely collaborate in the design and manufacturing process. We are seeking a motivated PhD student who is an independent learner with prior experience in bioprinting technology or bioink development (required) and who can work collaboratively with other students. The student will develop a bioprinting testbed for manufacturing both soft hydrogel-based and hard thermoplastic-based constructs, use it to test the collaborative design framework and benchmark performance, work with a variety of droplet- and extrusion-based printing systems available in the lab, and contribute to other ongoing bioprinting and biomaterials projects. Interested applicants should email sri.ramesh@okstate.edu with a cover letter, CV, and two co-authored publications in the areas of bioprinting or additive manufacturing.
We extend an invitation to potential students at the undergraduate, Master's, and PhD levels who have a keen interest in the areas of materials science and advanced manufacturing. If you are driven by a desire to contribute to the leading edge of additive manufacturing research and your academic interests align with our laboratory's focus, we encourage you to reach out. For those considering joining our dynamic research team, please contact Prof. Srikanthan Ramesh at sri.ramesh@okstate.edu to discuss the opportunities available for collaboration. This is a distinct chance for you to make substantial contributions to the field while advancing your academic and research career within a supportive and innovative environment.
